Your Data Trail
You are installing a free Flashlight app. It asks for one permission at a time. Allow only what a flashlight truly needs — every extra “Allow” adds to your data trail.

How does it actually work?
Every permission you grant lets an app collect a piece of data about you. Together those pieces form your data trail — and once data leaves your device, you rarely control where it goes next.
The defence is data minimisation: share only what a tool genuinely needs to do its job. A real test of whether a request is honest is to ask, “Does this app actually need this to work?” 3 of these 7 requests passed that test — the rest did not. Owning your data starts with not giving it away by reflex.
