From Head to Toe: The Parts of Your Body
Wiggle your fingers. Now blink your eyes. Now stomp your feet! Every one of those is a part of your body, and each part has a job. You carry around more than 200 bones and you take about 20,000 breaths every single day, all without even thinking about it. Today we will name the parts of your body from the top of your head all the way down to your toes.
What You'll Learn
In this lesson you will: - Point to and name your head, arms, legs, hands, and feet. - Learn what your eyes, ears, nose, and mouth help you do. - Count how many fingers and toes you have. - Play a matching game with body parts.
The Top: Your Head
Your head sits on top. On your head is your face. Your two eyes help you see. Your two ears help you hear. Your nose helps you smell yummy cookies. Your mouth helps you eat and talk. Inside your head is your brain. Your brain is the boss! It tells all the other parts what to do.
You have 2 eyes, 2 ears, 1 nose, and 1 mouth. Touch each one and count out loud!
The Middle: Arms and Hands
Your two arms hang from your shoulders. At the end of each arm is a hand. Each hand has 5 fingers. Wiggle them! Your hands can wave, clap, and hold a crayon. Two hands means you have 10 fingers all together.
The Bottom: Legs and Feet
Your two legs help you stand up tall. At the end of each leg is a foot. Each foot has 5 toes. Two feet means you have 10 toes! Your legs and feet help you walk, run, jump, and dance.
Match each body part to what it helps you do.

Trace My Body Helper
Ask a grown-up to help you lie down on a big piece of paper. Have them trace all around you with a crayon so you get a giant outline of your whole body. Then draw a happy face on the head. Point to and color your eyes, your two hands, and your two feet. Last, count your fingers out loud and write the number 10 near your hands, and count your toes and write 10 near your feet.
