What Is Cybersecurity?
Cybersecurity means keeping computers, tablets, and the information inside them safe from people who should not see it. Just like you lock your front door so strangers cannot walk into your house, cybersecurity locks your computer information so strangers cannot see your games, photos, or messages.
Strong Passwords Are Like Strong Locks
A weak password is like a see-through lock — easy for someone to guess. A strong password mixes lots of different letters, numbers, and symbols, like 'Tiger7!Jump' instead of just 'tiger'. The more mixed up it is, the harder it is for anyone else to guess.
Even with a friend! A password is like a toothbrush — it is just for you, and sharing it means someone else could use your things without asking.
Sometimes a message might pretend to be from a game or app and ask for your password. Always ask a grown-up before typing a password anywhere new.
