Animal Armor: Turtles, Hedgehogs, and Skunks
A turtle's shell is made of hard bone that grows right along with its body — it's not a costume, it's part of the turtle. A hedgehog carries between 5,000 and 7,000 sharp spikes and simply curls into a tight ball when it senses danger. A skunk's spray can be smelled from over a mile away, which sends a clear signal: stay away. Every one of these is a way of saying "I'm protected."
Your Password Is Like a Shell
A password is a secret code of letters, numbers, and symbols that locks up your games, photos, or accounts so only you can get in. A weak password like "1234" is like a turtle with a cracked shell — easy to break through. A strong password mixes a word you'll remember with numbers and symbols, like "PurpleDino47!" — much harder for anyone to guess or crack.
Two Rules for Staying Safe Online
Rule one: never share your real name, address, or school with someone you only know from a game or app — even if they seem friendly. Rule two: always tell a grown-up if a stranger online asks you questions that feel weird or uncomfortable, the same way a turtle pulls into its shell the moment it senses danger.
Never tell your password to a friend, classmate, or stranger — even by accident. The only people who should ever know it are you and a trusted grown-up in your family.
