Number Bonds to 10
A number bond is a way to see which two numbers add up to make a bigger number. The number 10 has special number bonds: 0+10, 1+9, 2+8, 3+7, 4+6, 5+5, 6+4, 7+3, 8+2, 9+1, 10+0. These pairs are like best friends — they always add to 10. Knowing them makes math much faster.

One More, One Less is a number game you can play anywhere! A grownup says a number. You say the number that is one more AND the number that is one less. If they say 5, you say 6 (one more) and 4 (one less). It is fast, fun, and makes you super quick at counting.

Counting by 2s Even Numbers
Counting by 2s means you skip every other number. Instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, you say 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. These numbers are called even numbers. Even numbers can always be split into two equal groups. Counting by 2s is faster than counting by 1s and it helps you count pairs of things.

A nickel is a silver coin worth 5 cents. When you have nickels, you can count them by 5s: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25. Each nickel adds five more cents. Counting by 5s is a fast way to count money and many other things that come in groups of five.
